Following teasers, Motorola has confirmed that the company’s next edge series phone, the edge 50, will be released. It will be the world’s slimmest phone and have durability comparable to that of a military unit. With MIL-810H standard, it can withstand extremely high or low temperature, pressure, shock, vibration, pressure, dust and salt fog, according to motorola.
Motorola has confirmed that the phone will be available in Jungle Green and Pantone Peach Fuzz with vegan leather finishes, and in Koala Grey with vegan suede finishes. It will also have IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance. The phone will have a 50MP rear camera with a Sony LYT-700C sensor, a 13MP ultrawide camera with a 120° field of view and a macro mode, and a 10MP telephoto camera with a digital zoom of up to 30x. There will be a 32MP front camera inside. The company claims that the 6.67-inch curved pOLED display will be the brightest in its class with a brightness of up to 1900 nits. The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition 4nm SoC, vapour chamber cooling system, and up to 256GB of storage. It will run Android 14, and motorola promises 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates.
The phone will pack a 5000mAh battery with 68W wired fast charging and the phone also supports 15W wireless charging.
After the launch, the Motorola Edge 50 should be available in offline stores, motorola.in, and Flipkart.
