Nitish Kumar will be launching his ambitious programme to provide free WiFi facilities in colleges tomorrow on the occasion of state’s foundation day celebrations. Kumar added that in order to help young entrepreneurs to start their venture in Bihar, his government has taken several initiatives.
After inaugurating fourth Bihar Entrepreneurs meet “Start up Bihar” 2017, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that tomorrow on the occasion of state’s Foundation Day celebrations, his ambitious programme to provide free WiFi facilities in colleges and universities will be launched.
He said, “The programme of providing free WiFi facilities in all colleges and universities is going to start from tomorrow.” Providing free WiFi services is one of the seven resolves of good governance under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Requirement of WiFi:
“It’s an era of internet and youth need it to download knowledge materials. So, the government has decided to provide free WiFi facilities to all colleges and universities of the state,” the Chief Minister said. Kumar added that in order to help young entrepreneurs to start their venture in Bihar, his government has taken several initiatives.

“Incubation centre is being established in different educational institutions in the state to help young entrepreneurs,” he said. The function was also attended by Industries minister Jai Kumar Singh and Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh.
Start-up in Bihar:
Start-up means an entity, incorporated or registered in Bihar not prior to five years with an annual turnover not exceeding INR 25 Cr. in any preceding financial year, working towards innovation, development, deployment or commercialisation of new products, processes or services driven by technology or intellectual property.
