Rising star Lizzo says one of the things she enjoys the most about her new success is no longer having to borrow guys’ clothes.
“I would borrow guys’ clothes and wear flannel,” she told Phoebe Robinson during a Q&A at 92Y on Friday. “I’ve learned a lot from my team. Like, look at Diana Ross … look at Cher, and I now say ‘Yeah, let’s do that s–t!’”
These days, “I want Kate Moss to look at me and say, ‘Damn, where you got that dress?’”
She added of her full figure, “Don’t ask me what size I am … it is my size … That’s my thing I feel like a f–king princess lately. Now I love to play with shapes. I love it, I need a clothing line.”
The singer has been roundly embraced by the fashion world and Hollywood — and Rihanna said at her recent fashion show that she’s enthusiastic to collaborate with Lizzo and that she is “everything” her lingerie line stands for.
As far as her taste in men, Lizzo revealed, “Listen, girl, Idris Elba is on my bucket list.”
