” Hazelight Studios, the studio behind It Takes Two and A Way Out, is reportedly hinting at a reveal for its next game, a new IP. Like the developer’s other titles, it will be published by EA Originals in “202?” The post-it note has the words, “Final_final_3_Mdown_13”, a play on final cuts by video editors that could seemingly point to an upcoming trailer.
Josef Fares, the company’s founder, mentioned that he “can’t wait to show it soon” and that its name is “S*** ******N” in a separate tweet. Additionally, the second word has an additional letter, so it does not spell “Star Citizen.” Hazelight and Fares have previously teased their upcoming album. In April, the studio said it had some “new (real good) stuff cooking” that it would discuss this year. Later on, Fares would assert that the subsequent title would be “even better than It Takes Two” and that individuals would be “blown away.” Electronic Arts has confirmed in yet another tweet that this new IP is yet another co-op adventure. An announcement in October or November, followed by a reveal in December at The Game Awards, wouldn’t be too farfetched (especially given Fares’ history with the latter). Keep an eye out for updates.
