Methodology and Scope of the Survey
The Education Cluster team, in close cooperation with Departments of Education and partners, designed a school-level education humanitarian needs survey and disseminated it among all schools, orphanages, kindergartens, afterschool education facilities and technical colleges in government controlled areas of Donetska and Luhanska oblasts. Data collection took place from October 3-13, 2016. Responses came from a total of 657 education facilities, of these 425 are schools, 20 orphanages, 160 kindergartens, 20 afterschool education facilities and 32 technical colleges.
According to estimates of data collected, the survey covers 57% of children enrolled in schools in both oblasts, and 24% of children enrolled in kindergartens in both oblasts.
