Domestic handset maker Karbonn Mobiles has introduced a new entry-level Android smartphone, the Karbonn A91 Storm. The new handset is now listed on the company site while is now available to buy via an e-commerce website priced at Rs. 2,899.
At this price point, the Karbonn A91 Storm will be competing against Intex’s entry-level Aqua 3G Pro Q smartphone which went on sale recently priced at Rs. 2,999.

The Karbonn A91 Storm is a dual-SIM (regular-SIM + regular-SIM) supporting smartphone that runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It features a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) resolution display with a pixel density of 240ppi. The handset is powered by a 1.2 quad-core processor clubbed with 512MB of RAM. The Karbonn A91 Storm sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also comes with a front-facing 0.3-megapixel fixed focus camera.
It houses 4GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The device supports 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, FM radio, and Micro-USB 2.0 connectivity.
Backed by a 2200mAh Li-ion battery, the Karbonn A91 Storm is rated to deliver up to 250 hours of standby time and up to 8 hours of talk time. The company listing claims that the handset takes up to 3 hours to fully charge. It will be available in Blue, White, and Black and measures 127×64.2×10.5mm, and weighs 117 grams. The A91 Storm is currently available via Amazon India.
