IOWA CITY — United Action for Youth has announced its schedule for its sixth-annual Winter Teen Clothing Drive, and they are seeking clothing donations starting Monday.
The drive will run from 4:30 to 9 p.m. on Tues. Dec. 6 at the UAY Youth Center located at 355 Iowa Ave.
Teens in need will be able to pick out free clothes, everything from professional attire to jeans and coats, along with other items. Last year, more than 1,500 clothing items were donated to 262 area teens.
Community members have multiple upcoming opportunities to donate new and gently used clothing and accessories for the event. Clothes can be dropped off at the UAY Youth Center.
Donations can be made Mon., Nov. 28 through Fri., Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Sat., Dec. 3 from 12 to 5 p.m. They can also be made the week of on Mon., Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Tues., Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
